Who is the Cystic Fibrosis Association of North Dakota?

Cystic Fibrosis Association of North Dakota (CFAND) is a 501c3 non-profit dedicated to supporting individuals and families facing the challenges of cystic fibrosis (CF). They’re on a mission to raise awareness about CF, provide educational resources, and offer financial assistance. CFAND extends its unwavering support to people of all ages and families living with cystic fibrosis, striving to enhance their quality of life through various impactful programs and initiatives.

What is cystic fibrosis?

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic disorder impacting the respiratory and digestive systems. This gene mutation leads to the production of thick, sticky mucus that can clog airways and affect the function of organs, particularly the lungs and pancreas. Those with CF may face respiratory infections, digestive challenges, and other complications, making it a lifelong journey that demands specialized care and support.​

The Cystic Fibrosis Association of North Dakota was looking to get the word out about what they do, all while advocating and bringing awareness to Cystic Fibrosis (CF).​

The solution

We created a digital campaign to pull at the heartstrings and generate awareness about CF and the vital role that the Cystic Fibrosis Association of North Dakota plays in their lives.​

An Organization
of Inspiration.

When teaming up with any non-profit, we dive deep into their mission, work, and goals. This partnership began by immersing ourselves in the remarkable world of the Cystic Fibrosis Association of North Dakota, learning everything we needed to craft a campaign as unique and inspiring as they are. We wanted to not only raise awareness but also share authentic, heart-string-pulling stories of those impacted by cystic fibrosis.

The Power of Storytelling.

What is one of the best ways to build awareness and advocacy at the same time? Tell authentic stories! To do this, we met, interviewed, and photographed three incredible people that CFAND has helped: Mike, Daviney, and Emily (and her daughter). Each of these sessions allowed us to learn about the impact the organization has had on their lives, capture candid moments, and hear about their journeys. Using the stories and images we gathered, we developed a campaign to capture people’s attention and make a lasting impression.

More Than
A Campaign.

Equipped with powerful images and messaging, the campaign was ready to launch. Since advertising with Facebook is a great way of building awareness while being budget-conscious, we knew this was the perfect route for CFAND’s campaign. The campaign ran for 4 weeks and resulted in almost half a million impressions (the number of times the ad was seen) by 132,801 people across the state of North Dakota. The campaign overall was a success and provided great insight for their future efforts or campaigns.

Through our partnership, we were able to build a strong foundation for the Cystic Fibrosis Association of North Dakota to build off of. The awareness campaign helped them get in front of potential future donors, people affected by CF that didn’t know about their organization, and many people across the state. Additionally, our partnership provided their organization with imagery and stories that they can utilize to continue sharing their message and mission.

Our partnership with CFA was nothing short of inspiring. The stories we heard touched us, and the work that they’re doing left us feeling grateful that our community has such a wonderful organization available. Teaming up to make a difference? That’s the kind of work that fuels our passion.
